This semester, my MMM involvement goal was to stay committed and positive throughout the season, especially while coming back from surgery and a previous injury. There were definitely moments where it was challenging and uncertain, but I made it a priority to stay engaged with my team, support my teammates, and keep pushing through recovery. Even when things didn’t go exactly as planned, I stayed true to my goal by showing up, staying motivated, and contributing to the team in any way I could.
Ithaca College Swimming & Diving
This is my second year on the Ithaca College Varsity Swimming and Diving team, and I’m so proud to be part of it. I’ve been diving for 13 years and was excited to start the season strong. After having a major surgery at the beginning of the season, along with a major injury last year, I was honestly really scared I wouldn’t get a full season again. Thankfully, I was able to come back and finish out the season fully. This year, both the men’s and women’s teams won Liberty Leagues, which was a monumental moment for everyone, and I’m so grateful I got to experience it. The experience gave me a new perspective. I learned how to support my teammates in different ways and stay engaged even when things were tough. It made me appreciate how supportive and dedicated this team is, and I’m excited to keep growing with them.
ICTV Thursday NewsWatch
I am a student in the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, majoring in Television, Photography, and Digital Media Production with a minor in Journalism. I’ve always loved working on a film set and hope to become a director. I’m also passionate about news and broadcasting, so I continued with ICTV’s NewsWatch this semester as audio, a role that was new to me. It helped me better understand the control room and improve my communication with the studio, while also getting more familiar with roles like producers, directors, and the Technical Director.
ICTV’s Roommate Rumble
I also made an effort to get involved in multiple productions this semester by participating in two shows and working on Roommate Rumble as a Floor Manager, which was also a new role for me this year. This experience helped me build confidence in guiding others on set, staying organized, and keeping productions running smoothly.
