At the start of this semester, my MMM involvement goal was to join a media-related organization that aligned with my interests and busy schedule. I wanted to keep building hands-on experience, stay involved in the Park community, and take on creative roles that support my career goals.
Ithaca College Swimming & Diving
This is my second year on the Ithaca College Varsity Swimming and Diving team, and I’m still so grateful to be part of it. After nearly 13 years of diving, I’ve continued to grow not only as an athlete but also as a person. This team pushes me in the best ways, challenging me to stay disciplined, independent, and resilient through both successes and setbacks. The supportive yet driven environment has helped me face adversity with confidence and taught me how to trust myself, even in tough moments. I’ve learned so much from the strong leaders around me, and I’m excited to keep contributing to this amazing community both in and out of the pool.
ICTV Sunday NewsWatch
I’m a student at the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, majoring in Television, Photography, and Digital Media Productions with a minor in Journalism. I’ve always loved film and working on a set with a crew, and I hope to one day become a director. I’m also passionate about news and broadcasting, so I joined ICTV’s Sunday NewsWatch as a camera operator to get hands-on experience.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
I’m involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) on campus, which has been a meaningful space for me to connect with other student-athletes outside of my sport. FCA gives us a chance to talk about life, lean on one another, and build community through shared values and support. Being part of this group has helped me stay grounded, reflect on my personal growth, and form friendships with athletes from different teams. It’s a welcoming environment where we can encourage each other both on and off the field.
IC Lighthouse Christian Fellowship
I’m also involved with Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, which has become an important community for me on campus. It’s a welcoming space where students come together for worship, reflection, and genuine conversations about faith and life. Being part of Lighthouse has helped me stay centered during busy and stressful times, and it’s given me the chance to build meaningful relationships with people who are supportive, kind, and encouraging. The group has helped me grow spiritually and personally, and I’m grateful to be part of such a caring community.
